Somewhat, by accident I starting shooting my son’s wrestling team in 2023. The team had lost it’s parent photographer when a senior wrestler graduated. I grabbed my Canon Rebel T3 and attempted to shoot the excitement. After a few matches I realized my 12 year old camera needed an upgrade. It was no match for low light action sports.

The solve was the Canon R5 with the 70-200 2.8 lens. I have decades of experience in Photoshop editing digital photo restoration. So once I became comfortable with the new camera technology the editing moved along quickly.

I wrestled way back in high school and recently with a local “Old Man” wrestling group. It is one of the oldest most exciting sports and I absolutely love it when I capture it correctly, expressing the intensity and toughness which defines this amazing sport.
