The Brooklyn-based "gifted alto saxophonist and composer with the gorgeous tone" (JAZZTIMES) has found a voice within a variety of projects, including the Grammy nominated Either/Orchestra, throughout his critically-acclaimed albums for Sunnyside Records (NYC) and Fresh Sound New Talent (Barcelona), and on over 20 recordings as a sideman. His PLAINVILLE project "openly embraces the rock, folk, and country sounds he heard in his youth" (DOWNBEAT, 4 stars), recently producing "one of the year’s most slyly inviting jazz albums” (NY TIMES). Join in this fun and relaxing class to create a beautiful Mandala on a 12x12 canvas with teacher, Beth Goulet.  Pick your colors out of a large selection and Beth will lead you step by step through the process of Mandala dotting while leaving time and space for you to make this a unique piece of art.  This is a beginners class, there is no experience necessary.  Using tools to create dots of different sizes and colors, Beth will walk you step by step in the creation of your own uniquely beautiful mandala.

Currently, I am a proud member of Painters Over Light (POL), a group founded almost a decade ago by Anthony Tomaselli following our participation in his Weekend Workshop at the Wickford Art Center. Our monthly gatherings over breakfast at T's in Narragansett, RI have nurtured both artistic and personal bonds, as we engage in constructive critiques and mutual artistic evolution.

From shared exhibitions to collaborative projects, the POL group has not only elevated our individual artistry but also forged profound friendships. Join instructor Adonis Deking in learning how to make a beautiful painting of a sunflower, the perfect seasonal decor to decorate your home. No art experience is required and all materials will be provided. Enjoy a relaxing night of wine while you have fun learning how to paint.

All participants will receive a 9x12 primed canvas, use of adjustable tabletop easels, and a set of brushes of various shapes and sizes. Participants are free to use any of the colors in the provided acrylic selection.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 20th, as North Attleborough gears up for the highly anticipated 3rd Annual Downtown North Attleborough Collaborative Block Party. The event, which coincides with the final Farmers Market of the season, promises an unforgettable evening of festivities, local talent, and community spirit.

From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the heart of North Attleborough will transform into a vibrant hub of activity. The Downtown streets will be closed off, stretching from Town Hall down to the library, allowing pedestrians to stroll safely and immerse themselves in the excitement. This year's Block Party is a true celebration of all things local, bringing together small North Attleborough businesses, talented artisans, charitable organizations, and local town groups.

Bailey’s Team for Autism presents “Celebrating Art and Autism”

Work by artists with autism will be on display September 1st-30th. Select pieces of art will be available for sale throughout the month.

Meet the artists at a special reception on Thursday, September 14th, from 6:30-9pm. Admission is open and free to all. Light refreshments will be served!

Proceeds from this event will support Bailey’s Team for Autism, and all participating artists.
